Worship Service for Sun, 3/17 at 10:30 am:
The theme for the month of March is Creation/Creativity.
The Cranberry Circle CUUPS group will be leading the service at The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleborough, 25 South Main Street, on Sunday, March 17, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is most welcome! The church is handicapped accessible. For those in need of the elevator, please enter via the sidewalk on the front right side of the building. Someone will be there to assist those who need it.
As the sun crosses the celestial equator heading north, it brings about a magical state of balance as equal day and equal night. There will be a celebration of the vernal equinox, which ushers in the official first day of spring and the beauty of first buds and flowers during this service. The fertile earth is reborn and offers the opportunity to begin the planting that will bring forth the fruits of the coming seasons. The Cranberry Circle CUUPS meets monthly at FUUSM, and they will help us all to see the beauty of this time. There will be special music within the CUUPS ritual.
Our worship services are videotaped and broadcast over local cable television on Comcast channel 9 and Verizon channel 34, usually at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Check the web site or channel for date and times of our service.
This congregation affirms and promotes the full participation of all persons in our activities welcoming everyone without regard to race, color, gender, physical or mental challenge, age, class, national origin or sexual orientation. For more information, the web site is: www.uumiddleboro.org.
