Active Hope – An Introduction to “The Work that Reconnects”

July 29, 2023 @ 10:00 am 5:00 pm

This sixhour workshop is offered by Natalie Johnson at Maribett Farm in Kingston. Following the Spiral Journey of the work, we will ground in gratitude, share in honoring our pain for the world, identify sources of resilience, and finally take action to move more hopefully into the future.

This workshop is for YOU if you are:

  • Hoping to mitigate the effects of climate disruption.
  • Invested in promoting social justice and equity and their place in the future of our world.
  • Working to preserve ecological resources for future generations.
  • Actively engaged in increasing your capacity to make a measurable difference.
  • Yearning to engage with people who have made room for thinking in these ways.If you are sensing your connection to the deepest elements of personal and ecological well-being, please join us.

The challenges we face today can be difficult to even think about. Climate change, war, political polarization, economic upheaval and the dying back of nature create a planetary emergency of overwhelming proportions. It is easy to sink into fear and despair and to feel like there is nothing to be done. The Work That Reconnects, developed by teacher/activist Joanna Macy and others over four decades ago offers us a way forward. Drawing on the innate wisdom of the body, mind, heart and spirit, it explores ways to envision and create a life-sustaining society.

Natalie Johnson is a member of the Boston Community of Practice.

The workshops is hosted by Ronald and Connie Maribett, Maribett Farm, 269 Elm St. Kingston, MA

Workshop offered free (part of the gift economy). Register by July 19th, 2023 at hecatehealingarts@comcast.net
