January 26, 2014 – Faith for a New Age

God-Revised-coverThe Reverend Sarah Person will be presenting a sermon entitled “Faith for a New Age” at The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleborough (FUUSM), 25 South Main Street, on Sunday, January 26. This service begins at 10:30. Everyone is welcome.

As modern beings, how do we preserve our sense of mystery and wonder in this scientific age? Should we even try? In his book GOD REVISED, Rev. Dr. Galen Guengerich asks us to evolve our understanding of religion and what it has to offer us. If you consider yourself spiritual but not religious, this is a great opportunity to discern the necessities of your mind and heart. The Chalice Choir, under the direction of Music Director Susan Land Hotchkiss, will be singing.

Save The Date
Save the date of Sunday, February 9, for an afternoon of song and sweets at FUUSM. Vocalist Stephanie Miele will be accompanied on piano by Lucy Banner providing a concert entitled Mothers and Other Loves. This concert begins at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary and is followed by a lovely tea reception in the parish hall.
