June 8, 2014 – To Touch a Life

Tribute to our teachers

Tribute to our teachers

Please join us for our regular 10:30 service on Sunday June 8th at The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleboro 25 South Main Street. “To Touch a Life” is the sermon title for this week. Music will be provided by our chalice choir.

Deepening our faith is a lifelong delight and responsibility. We are committed to transmitting our traditions, and creating new ones, with each generation that succeeds us. We and our children will offer tribute to the teachers among us who offered us their best this past year. After the service you are welcome to join us for strawberry shortcake to celebrate the conclusion of the Religious Education program for the year. It’s our way of thanking our teachers, storytellers, and other volunteers.

  1. I was upstairs for part of the service today. It was great to see the tribute to the RE leaders, and to see the talented kids in the young people’s orchestra; I didn’t even know we had one! There’s so much talent in this church. The choir is a blessing every week, and the sermons are always just what I need to hear-they are always just right for the occasion. I loved the “What”, “What now”, and “Then what”. It really makes us think, doesn’t it. Thank you Rev. Sarah! Thank you so much J.R. for the sound system in the kitchen so I can hear the services. and thank you to all of you who make my job in the kitchen a blessing. It is a pleasure to do it! The strawberry shortcake was the topper for the R.E. season that all of you R.E. people worked so hard to coordinate. We are all so lucky to have such good leaders in our UU group.
