June 9, 2013 – The Call

The theme for the month of June is Vocation.

“The Call” is the name of the sermon to be presented by the Reverend Sarah Person at The First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleborough (FUUSM), Sunday, June 9, at 10:30.  The Church is located at 25 South Main Street; the service begins at 10:30.  All are most welcome.

Our young people are graduating from high school and college and wondering: what now?  What are the important things we have to tell them about living lives of purpose and meaning and joy?  The Chalice Choir, under the direction of Susan Land-Hotchkiss, will be singing.  Marilyn Thayer will be the storyteller.

The church is handicapped accessible.  For those in need of the elevator, please enter via the sidewalk on the front right side of the building.  Someone will be there to assist those who need it.

Our worship services are videotaped and broadcast over local cable television on Comcast channel 9 and Verizon channel 34, usually at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  Check the website http://mccam02346.com/program_schedule or channel for date and times of our service.

This congregation affirms and promotes the full participation of all persons in our activities welcoming everyone without regard to race, color, gender, physical or mental challenge, age, class, national origin or sexual orientation. For more information, the web site is: www.uumiddleboro.org.
