The season of Advent in the Christian calendar is a season of anticipation. There are special liturgies and rituals. Everything leads up to Christmas. Every aspect – colors, readings, music – has a special meaning that is both solemn and festive. What will we celebrate; what will we be waiting for, preparing ourselves for?
