Finding the Holy in the Holidays
As the holiday season approaches, feelings can be mixed: anticipation, fret, excitement, sadness, or, perhaps, a “here we go again” resignation to the heightened expectations of the season. At the same time, recent political developments may be dampening feelings of hopeful anticipation. In this complex time, amidst the season’s insistent demands, how might we find the truly holy in these upcoming holidays? The Chalice Choir will be singing.
This morning we welcome Rev. Ellen Quaadgras to the pulpit. Ellen is now in her fifth year at Westminster Unitarian Church, working to build Beloved Community both inside and outside the church, and is excited for the opportunity to come be with all of you this Sunday in Middleboro. In her free time, Ellen likes to bike, go hiking with friends, play the guitar, or sail in Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay.
