See More Clearly
What distinguishes Unitarian Universalists in this day and age? If we had to distill our values down to one word, that word might be empathy. We ask ourselves to understand what’s going on around us, even when we disagree with it. In a world where this quality of empathy is in short supply, we need all the help we can get. Finding this in ourselves with real honesty can present a real challenge. In his book Cultivating Empathy, Nathan C. Walker introduces the idea of the moral imagination as a way of navigating the world with understanding. Special music will be provided by Jon Keene, tenor.
