Ingathering, Rosh Hashanah
Join us for our Ingathering Service, the traditional first service in the fall. We’ll welcome you with the uniquely Unitarian Universalist ceremony of the Water Communion. We invite you to bring a small sample of water that represents a place that is special to you. At the beginning of the service, we will, one-by-one, pour our water together into a large bowl. The combined water is symbolic of our shared faith coming from many different sources and experiences. We will then bless the water, and later our children will pour it into our Memorial Garden to honor our past as well as our present. Ingathering celebrates beginnings and honors what has brought us together. This service is family friendly. The Chalice Choir will be singing.
After the service, the Religious Exploration Committee will offer a Teacher Orientation and introduction to our yearlong theme.
