Our craft fair held on Saturday, November 12, was very successful! We were
open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and despite the rain and wind in the morning,
we had early birds ready to buy at 9:15 AM! We had a steady amount of
people during the entire fair and a LOT of people from outside the church!
Barry & Patty Simon rented a table for their CDs and played music throughout
the fair, which really made for a festive atmosphere – everyone seemed to
really love the live music!
Now for the important part – fundraising! Between table rentals, quilt chances
and three church tables, we netted $1,667.50 on Saturday. The church tables
were left up for Sunday’s coffee hour, and we received another $74.50 in
sales bringing our total revenue from the fair to $1,742! The winner of the
quilt was Reverend Peter Connolly! To make sure the drawing didn’t appear
to be “fixed”, I had a non-Church member draw the winning ticket from a solid
bowl vs the fishbowl I had planned to use!
And now for the THANKS YOUs!
This could not have happened without many people helping out, and I wanted
to thank the following individuals:
I am SO hoping that I didn’t forget anyone – if I did, please let me know, and
I sincerely apologize if I did! Big THANKS to all the church members that
came and shopped – it was great to see everyone!
