Subtitled a “Faith-Based Call to Action to Save Democracy,” this January 6 event was a nationwide interfaith Zoom call with 1,000 attending. It was sponsored by the Interfaith Alliance, Sojourners, Faithful America, Faith in Democracy, Freedom Road, and Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice.
On the fourth anniversary of the attack on the U.S. Capitol, we shared how we are doing in the aftermath of the election. We learned easy ways to take action to ensure our Senators carry out their duty to advise and consent, to ensure that all Cabinet nominees are qualified and are committed to upholding the Constitution. And we grounded ourselves spiritually to prepare for activism in coming years.
