For RE this morning we will be talking about beehives. Our story will be about bees, and we will be making bees together and flying them to their hive. There is a Cottage Meeting on Sunday, October 22, at 12:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall and a Cottage Meeting Sunday evening at 7:00 on Zoom. You do not have to sign up for these meetings. Just join us if you have not already met in person.

We are meeting today from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. We will be talking about the power of the earth and its ability to bring new life and nurture growth.  We will talk about growth in people and how we grow into our power and can make change in ourselves and in the world. The Peaceful Quilters meet every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

The Chalice Choir is a volunteer group that meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30. This choir sings every other Sunday from a wide variety of choral anthems, most set in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Membership is open but limited. Led by Peter Connolly This Small Group Ministry is meeting weekly on Wednesdays for five weeks: October 4, 11, 18, 25, and November 1 from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. If there is sufficient interest, the ministry will be offered again in the spring.

We are still working on this being a functional group.  We had a successful couple of groups for planning in the spring and will work to make this a great group this fall. We’ll meet on the 4th  Wednesday of the month at the church from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  It is planned for youth, families and allies of the youth.

The Team brings news and information to the congregation about social justice events and activities being held in our community, offers training and runs events that are of major interest to church members, and actively supports several local organizations including Bridgewater Committee for Civil Rights (BCCR). The Brockton Chapter of the NAACP, the Matthew Mission Food Pantry, and Sustainable Middleboro. The Social Justice Team meets every other Friday.
