Summer Cash in the Plate Will Be Donated to BCCR and Sacred Heart Food Pantry

The Cash in the Plate for the month of July will be donated to BCCR (Bridgewater Communities for Civil Rights (https://www.bccrcivilrights.org).

Bridgewater Communities for Civil Rights (BCCR) is a community-based organization in Bridgewater, MA, dedicated to defending the rights of all individuals while fostering open communication, examining social justice issues, and advocating against bias and racism.

Guided by the tenets of compassion, teamwork, empowerment, accountability, action, collaboration, and advocacy, BCCR’s work is built on four key pillars: educate—by hosting and participating in forums, discussions, and lectures on civil rights topics; mobilize—by engaging in social justice standouts and offering bystander training; create networks—by collaborating with individuals, institutions, and community groups to expand their mission; and influence all levels of government—by advocating for policy change, attending local government meetings, serving on committees, and engaging with state and national representatives.

The Cash in the Plate for the month of August will be donated to Sacred Heart Food Pantry.

The Sacred Heart Food Pantry is the local Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Middleboro Massachusetts, serving the towns of Middleboro, Lakeville, Rochester and Carver. The primary ministry of their conference is the operation and funding of the Sacred Heart Food Pantry in Middleboro.

The SVdP Society offers financial support for those in need of assistance.  These supports are not available on an on-going basis for any client, but rather are intended to provide assistance during a period of urgency or crisis for the client.  Beyond food and financial assistance, counseling creates an awareness of other agencies that can assist and help get the tools needed to become more self-sufficient and overcome setbacks.
