Rev. Peter Connolly preaching Memorial Day honors those who died while serving in this country's armed forces.  When we look closely at the symbols for the country for which those sacrifices were made, we find them saturated with religious significance.  Today we will take a close look at this connection.

The end of the church school year is coming, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying our groups, some volunteer opportunities, and getting a chance to build your own bear before we wrap up!  We have been adding more badges to our bears in RE.  We try to ensure that the children are learning about their faith home and look forward to coming back each week to enjoy food, fun and friends.  Our nursery is available each week for young children and infants; we provide a Religious Exploration class for children. The Chalice Choir is a volunteer group that meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30. This choir sings every other Sunday from a wide variety of choral anthems, most set in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Membership is open but limited. A Meditation Group meets every Wednesday in the Parlor from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. See Rev. Peter Connolly.

The Team brings news and information to the congregation about social justice events and activities being held in our community, offers training and runs events that are of major interest to church members, and actively supports several local organizations including Bridgewater Committee for Civil Rights (BCCR). The Brockton Chapter of the NAACP, the Matthew Mission Food Pantry, and Sustainable Middleboro. The Social Justice Team meets every other Friday.

We continue scheduling weekly ½ hour vigils on Saturday mornings from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the church lawn.  All are invited to join in.  Contact Dody Adkins-Perry with any questions.
