What Does It Mean to Be an Activist in This World?
What Does It Mean to Be an Activist in This World?
Dorine Levasseur presenting “I just want to live my life. I’m not political. You can’t fight City Hall. My vote doesn’t matter. No matter what I do I’m just one person. What difference would it make? Leave me alone.” Sound familiar? Have you heard yourself expressing versions of these thoughts out loud—or saying them to yourself? Why does it matter anyway? Activism can mean so many different things — and take very unsuspected forms. This is not about convincing anyone to be an activist. Instead, this will be a conversation about what it means to live our values. Spoiler alert: It means different things to different people.
New Moon Meditation on Zoom
New Moon Meditation on Zoom
This New Moon falls in the sign of Cancer, continuing the theme of powerful female beings in the higher realms looking after life on Earth with love and care. We are celebrating our nation’s independence this night and its emergence from the rule of Empire. Goddess Gaia is joined by Lady Liberty, Goddess Minerva and Goddess Hecate tonight as they each bring their gifts of freedom, wisdom and a shining torch to keep the darkness at bay.
