The Gift of Presence
The Gift of Presence
Rev. Sarah Person preaching A few of you have asked about our Lay Pastoral Ministry practice of “deep listening.” Deep listening is a life skill that will enhance your relationships with family, friends, co-workers and church fellowship. We are all capable of increasing our natural abilities to care for others and becared for ourselves; not by problem-solving or fixing things but simply by being companions to one another through tough times. Special music is provided by the Chalice Choir singing “Healing Waters” by Clif Hardin. Order of Service FUUSM is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.Topic: Sunday Worship The

Investing During Retirement
Investing During Retirement
INVESTING DURING RETIREMENT in the Church Parlor Those in retirement must frequently handle investing their own money, especially now that many of us don’t receive pensions. Few have much interest in investing other than to ensure that our money provides income we need to meet living expenses. With that in mind, this session will offer three ways to handle your investments effectively with minimum time, fuss, or expense and explore the strengths and downsides of each. Hopefully, there will also be time to discuss other investing questions that participants have. This event is virtual and in person.
Justice, Equality & Peace Vigil
Justice, Equality & Peace Vigil
We will continue scheduling weekly ½ hour vigils on Saturday mornings from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. In addition, we will be offering training to help us respond to folks with strong opinions. If you are interested in standing with us but would like the training first, please add your name, but put an X in the first column. All are invited to join in. Sign up for training and/or the vigil by visiting Vigil Sign-Ups.
Note: The church calendar contains some events that are not open to everyone, so that we can plan for building use. Open events are shown on the home page. Click on an event to show the full description.
