Welcome Back Everyone! Sunday School is back in person this year!! Church starts at 10:30, and we will be meeting during the church service and head downstairs after the Message for All Ages around 10:45. Registration is rolling and can be completed at any time. Every day our children are often faced with difficult decisions and situations. We have agreed as a group to really try to understand and learn our Seven Principles, and through the year we will be collecting gems that will represent our learnings through moral tales.

Opportunities to Help Get Out the Vote Are you concerned about the health of our democracy? Would you like to be able to do something about it? Social Justice is joining other UU churches in sponsoring a letter-writing campaign to get out the vote. We feel that it is imperative that everyone who would like to vote has the opportunity to do so. It is also important that people who feel their vote may not matter understand that it does. Fill the Pantry Fundraiser
Matthew Mission Food Panty Fundraiser Riverhouse Restaurant Patio 260 W. Water Street, Taunton Tuesday, September 27, at 6:00 p.m. The Matthew Mission Food Pantry in Taunton is having a fundraiser at the Riverhouse Restaurant Patio. There will be a raffle, games, 50/50 drawing, Tarot readings. All proceeds will go toward providing food for neighbors in need. $75 donation includes hors d'oeuvres and a beer flight. (You are welcome to order dinner.) $100 donation includes reserved seating. To make a reservation, call 508-822-2107. Must be 21+ to attend.

The Bridgewater Communities for Civil Rights is organizing a standout on the Bridgewater Common for Orange Shirt Day. Orange Shirt Day is a legacy of the St. Joseph Mission (SJM) Residential School (1891-1981) Commemoration Project and Reunion events that took place in Williams Lake, BC, Canada, in May 2013. This project was the vision of Esketemc (Alkali Lake) Chief Fred Robbins, who is a former student himself. It brought together former students and their families from the Secwepemc, Tsilhqot’in, Southern Dakelh and St’at’imc Nations along with the Cariboo Regional District, the Mayors and municipalities, School Districts and civic organizations in

Virtual Just This Sangha
Just This Sangha meets virtually (via Zoom) nearly every Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 for silent meditation and sharing of our practice experience. From a Buddhist, particularly Zen, perspective, we focus on bringing practice to daily life; exploring letting go of our usual habitual reactivity and opening to our selves and others as we actually are. DUE TO FORECAST OF RAIN, THE SALE IS POSTPONED TO 10/8 Join us for a congregational Rummage Sale! This is a multi-family sale involving many families with plenty of treasures to be had - gently used items and more stuff!! Something for everyone - some furniture, clothes, household items, tools and more! To reserve a table to rent for $25, please contact andreapriesto@gmail.com.Table and two chairs will be included. You will be responsible for your space where you can display your gently used treasures. You receive all proceeds and likewise are responsible for removing any items that do not sell.

Peace, Justice & Equality Vigil
We will continue scheduling weekly ½ hour vigils on Saturday mornings from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. In addition, we will be offering training to help us respond to folks with strong opinions. If you are interested in standing with us but would like the training first, please add your name, but put an X in the first column. All are invited to join in.
