The youth come relatively regularly and enjoy time of sharing one another’s favorite play time and then lighting the chalice, sharing joys and concerns and then working through curriculum.  This year RE is “Exploring Beyond Our Walls” using the moral tales curriculum.  The children have collected many marbles/glass gems for their gemstones of goodness.  The children continue to share stories of their efforts to follow their moral compass. Rev. Peter Connolly preaching Joanna Macy's and Chris Johnstone's book Active Hope asks us to understand hope as "something you do, not something you have."  Today, we'll explore a framework for enacting active hope in face of ecological crisis. The Chalice Choir will be singing Give Us Hope by Jim Papoulis.

Stewardship Packets will be available for Visiting Stewards to pick up after church, during Coffee Hour, in the Parish Hall.  Gil Cote and Marc MacQueen will be at a table to hand out packets, answer questions, etc.

We are meeting for five weeks using the book The Larger Faith by Charles A. Howe. This class is led by Rev. Peter Connolly.

The Youth Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays from 5:00 to 7:00 in the Parish Hall.  This group has children from 6ththrough 12th grade.  Contact Kelly Lownds for more information. 

The Peaceful Quilters meet every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

The Chalice Choir is a volunteer group that meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30. This choir sings every other Sunday from a wide variety of choral anthems, most set in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Membership is open but limited. Rev. Peter Connolly’s office hours are Wednesdays,10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Rev. Connolly will not be available on the second Wednesday of the month as he will be attending the UUMA cluster meeting.  He is available by appointment.  Monday is the minister's day off.  He will respond to emails and messages beginning on Tuesday of the week.

Just This Sangha meets virtually (via Zoom) nearly every Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 for silent meditation and sharing of our practice experience.  From a Buddhist, particularly Zen, perspective, we focus on bringing practice to daily life; exploring letting go of our usual habitual reactivity and opening to ourselves and others as we actually are.  Not a drop-in group, we do welcome potentially new members to join us for a few sessions to see if the group is a good fit.  Contact Tom Tanguay at Thisjustthis@gmail.com for more information.
