The youth come relatively regularly and enjoy time of sharing one another’s favorite play time and then lighting the chalice, sharing joys and concerns and then working through curriculum.  This year RE is “Exploring Beyond Our Walls” using the moral tales curriculum.  The children have collected many marbles/glass gems for their gemstones of goodness.  The children continue to share stories of their efforts to follow their moral compass. with Natalie Johnson This Full Moon is in the sign of Virgo, the sign most associated with purification.   It falls in the 16th degree of Virgo….the 16th card of the Tarot is The Tower, a card representing abrupt and tumultuous change, revolution and revelation.  It is a time of both beginnings and endings and signifies a huge evolutionary jump ahead in consciousness for humanity. We will be working with the energies of the Virgo Full Moon to bring about a clearing of our energy fields. We are being called upon to purify, to leave old baggage behind once and for all as we prepare

The Chalice Choir is a volunteer group that meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30. This choir sings every other Sunday from a wide variety of choral anthems, most set in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Membership is open but limited. The Music Committee meets virtually on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7:00-8:00. The role of the music committee is to support and enhance the music program, bring fresh ideas, help set goals, and monitor progress. We are open to new members.

Just This Sangha meets virtually (via Zoom) nearly every Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 for silent meditation and sharing of our practice experience.  From a Buddhist, particularly Zen, perspective, we focus on bringing practice to daily life; exploring letting go of our usual habitual reactivity and opening to ourselves and others as we actually are.  Not a drop-in group, we do welcome potentially new members to join us for a few sessions to see if the group is a good fit.  Contact Tom Tanguay at Thisjustthis@gmail.com for more information.
