The Book Discussion Group will meet on Monday, September 18, in the Parish Hall at 4:30 to discuss The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Chalice Choir Rehearsal
The Chalice Choir is a volunteer group that meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30. This choir sings every other Sunday from a wide variety of choral anthems, most set in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Membership is open but limited. BAMSI, a Brockton-based nonprofit with an office on West Grove Street in Middleboro, is seeking volunteers for four teams: 3) and 4) at 9:00 and 10:30 To load the bags into two trucks and deliver them to residents of Caffrey Towers (755 Crescent St) and Campello high rise (1380 Main St) in Brockton. The program will take place at Teen Challenge, 1315 Main St, Brockton. Local Black History: Slavery and Freedom in Old Bridgewater
Local Black History: The Old Bridgewater Historical Society (OBHS) will host a lecture by Dr. Kerima Lewis on Thursday, September 21 at 7:00 pm. Dr. Lewis will speak on Slavery and Freedom in Old Bridgewater, at the OBHS building at 162 Howard St, West Bridgewater. Admission is $5 at the door for non-members of OBHS.

BCCR will be holding signs against Book Banning on Saturday, September 23, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at two sidewalk locations in Bridgewater: across from the green in front of Walgreen’s, and in front of the public library at 15 South St. Bring a sign if you can. This standout ties in with the October 4 forum on Book Banning at the Bridgewater library.
