Remembering the Earth and Ourselves as Sacred
Remembering the Earth and Ourselves as Sacred
Led by the Local Chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans It has now been fifty-four years since the first Earth Day celebration. We have mounted campaigns, crafted slogans, held a yearly COP in far away places, seen protests and marches, made promises and resolutions. The scientists have warned us of the outcome of continuing on our present trajectory, and sadly nothing seems to have made much of an impact. From this pulpit we have considered the Earth as our Mother, our home and our beloved Anam Cara… This year we will explore a different idea. Many people now

A Note from the DREPlease consider joining us for one of our RE classes. All our children this year are “Building Bears of Wholeness” and collecting badges that support our values. Our goals for our children are to have time for faith, fellowship, food and fun; and we work hard to provide this! RE ClassesBadges are offered every other week to ensure the children obtain the 16 badges for the lessons they had this year. They are inserting the badges into their “build a bears.” Nursery During the Worship ServiceNursery is still being run by Niko Pucillo-Dunphy, and they receive

Write Postcards
Write Postcards
We are writing postcards to registered voters in districts that have low voting rates and have historically been disenfranchised. We’re using a tested script, so it’s easy, no creativity required (though we’re encouraged to use colored pens, if we want, to enliven our handwritten cards). Currently we are writing cards to Georgia in time for their May 21 primary. The goal is to establish a habit of voting and also to give voters time to resolve any issues they may encounter with required voter i.d. cards, or other obstacles to their voting, before November. We are working with the experienced

with Natalie Johnson https://zoom.us/j/97878277487 This Full Moon falls in the sign of Scorpio, perhaps the least understood and often maligned sign of the Zodiac. It also follows closely on the heels of Earth Day, the one day each year when humans celebrate the beauty and bounty of our planet, holding celebrations, festivals and ceremonies in honor of our beloved Mother Earth. It has now been 54 years since the first Earth Day when we became aware of the deleterious effects our collective lifestyle was having on Her and yet... for the most part, we continue to ignore the warnings, the

Set-Up for Spring Gala
Set-Up for Spring Gala
For Tapas:
We need small appetizers that will be set up at "stations;" and since we have chafing dishes, they can be warm and, of course, you can bring food in crock pots. So far we have 4 commitments. Think of something interesting you can make/prepare and serve for that night before the show. We will also need crackers, cheese, hummus & veggies, fruit, etc., for a cold appetizer table.

Cooler Middleborough Fair
Have you ever been inside a whale? Or tried out an induction cooktop? Been to a big event held in a safe, enclosed space (the High School gym), so your children can explore kid-friendly, fun educational activities while you explore the nuts and bolts of achieving a more comfortable house--warm in winter, cool in summer--without breaking the bank?
