The Peaceful Quilters meet every Tuesday in the Parish Hall.

UUMassAction has launched an Immigration Justice Campaign. The UUMA Immigrant Justice Team meets monthly. You need not attend all meetings.  Join UUs across MA to work towards immigration justice.  RSVP HERE  

The Chalice Choir is a volunteer group that meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30. This choir sings every other Sunday from a wide variety of choral anthems, most set in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Membership is open but limited. Bridgewater Conservation Commission hearing for Notice of Intent by Claremont Lakeshore Bridgewater LLC for a 5-story, 110-room hotel in the Hockomock Swamp ACEC, directly across Pleasant St (Rte 104) from "The Nip," Lake Nippenicket. (Near Rtes 24/104 interchange). The hotel was approved by the Planning Board, with conditions. But the ConCom could deny the project under both the MA Wetland Regulations and Bridgewater's Wetland Bylaw. Please read further and consider tuning in to this hearing. Deadline to submit offerings is Friday, June 7! It is time again for the ever-popular Spring Service Auction! We are again planning a fundraiser centered on goods and services. It’s a chance to pick up some great items, household help, and getaways. Please submit your offerings by email to FUUSMauction@gmail.com or contact the church office at 508-947-1935 by June 7. Be sure to include a detailed description of your offer including quantities, limitations, a picture (if possible) and suggested minimum bid. The auction will kick off on Friday, June 14, at noon and run until Sunday, June 29, at 8:00

The Team brings news and information to the congregation about social justice events and activities being held in our community, offers training and runs events that are of major interest to church members, and actively supports several local organizations including Bridgewater Committee for Civil Rights (BCCR). The Brockton Chapter of the NAACP, the Matthew Mission Food Pantry, and Sustainable Middleboro. The Social Justice Team meets every other Friday.

The Annual Meeting of our Society will be held on Friday, June 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.  All are welcome to participate, though only members of FUUSM as of May 14, 2024, who have made an annual contribution to the Society, are eligible to vote on any matters that will be decided at this meeting. 

On Friday, June 14 at 7:00 pm we will gather in the Sanctuary for the 2024 Annual Meeting of the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Middleboro.

What happens at this meeting, and why is it important to you?
