Adrian will offer an exploration of stoicism as a philosophy, detailing how it has informed his own life and provided a framework for being a useful, ethical human being and a valuable member of community. As a way of being, it intersects in many ways with the Principles upon which Unitarian Universalism is based.
Parish Committee Retreat
Parish Committee Retreat
The Parish Committee will hold its annual retreat at the church from 10:00-5:00 on Sunday, August 25. The morning session will take place in the Parlor and we will move to the Parish Hall at 12:30 for lunch and the afternoon session. Participation in the retreat is limited to PC members and the Minister.

Chalice Choir Rehearsal
Chalice Choir rehearsals start on Aug. 27 at 7:00 in the Parish Hall. The choir rehearses weekly on Tuesday evenings and sings on alternate Sundays starting on Sep. 8 and continuing through June 15.

Naegle coauthored Troublemaker for Justice-The Story of Bayard Rustin, the Man Behind the March on Washington. A "Meet the Candidates" Forum will be held this Thursday, August 29, on Zoom, at 8:30 am. This is your chance to get a sense of the candidates for the seat long held by Senator Marc Pacheco: Barry Sanders (D), Joe Pacheco (D), Kelly Dooner (R), and Jim Dupont (I).
Sanders and Pacheco (no relation to Marc Pacheco) will face off in the State Primary next Tuesday, September 3. Polls will be open 7 am - 8 pm. Dooner and Dupont are unopposed until the General Election on Nov. 5. Last date to register for the General Election is Oct. 26.
