Adrian will offer an exploration of stoicism as a philosophy, detailing how it has informed his own life and provided a framework for being a useful, ethical human being and a valuable member of community. As a way of being, it intersects in many ways with the Principles upon which Unitarian Universalism is based.

Parish Committee Retreat
The Parish Committee will hold its annual retreat at the church from 10:00-5:00 on Sunday, August 25. The morning session will take place in the Parlor and we will move to the Parish Hall at 12:30 for lunch and the afternoon session. Participation in the retreat is limited to PC members and the Minister.

Chalice Choir Rehearsal
The Chalice Choir is a volunteer group that meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30. This choir sings every other Sunday from a wide variety of choral anthems, most set in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Membership is open but limited. These five activists worked tirelessly behind the scenes to advance the cause of racial equality and social justice. Through their dedication and perseverance, they made significant contributions that helped shape the course of history.
