Religious Exploration Classes Today we will be considering habitats. We love being outside in nature, and we will be looking for habitats in the smallest space possible that we can find near the church.  Katie McGinty is our assistant teacher this month. Nursery During the Worship Service Niko Pucillo-Dunphy and Jesse Hoyle offer child care during the church service.  Please feel free to bring your infants and toddlers to have fun with Niko and Jesse while you are in the sanctuary participating in the service. The UU Book Club continues to meet on the third Monday of the month. Book Club members will be emailed the Zoom link a few days before each meeting. The book for our November meeting is Being Mortal by Atul Gawande.

Do you enjoy hand crafts such as knitting, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint, quilting, etc.?  We are resurrecting our hand crafting group.  We gather once per month to work on our projects, offer support, and also make prayer shawls for folks in the congregation in need of comfort.  Come experts and newbies (we can help teach you) and gather for handwork, snacks, and conversation.  The Hand Crafters Group is meeting the third Monday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Avis Clay Parlor

There is no ritual for the month of November. We are now in the time of deepening darkness, encouraging us to go within and dream of the seeds we will plant for the coming year.  We invite you to circle with us this night and enjoy a potluck feast in honor of Goddess Hecate...she who roams the liminal spaces in the night and stands at the crossroads with her torches held high, helping to illuminate the path forward for each of us. The Peaceful Quilters meet every Tuesday in the Parish Hall.

Members of this team are trained to offer lay pastoral counseling. They may also provide meals; visits; phone calls; cards; transportation to medical appointments, the grocery store, church, or social outings; help with yard work; music; or respite/break time for caregivers. Contact: Susan Curtiss

The Chalice Choir is a volunteer group that meets in the Parish Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30. This choir sings every other Sunday from a wide variety of choral anthems, most set in four parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Membership is open but limited. Ernesto Castaneda will speak on his new book, Immigration Realities: Challenging Common Misperceptions. He will share his perspective on how misconceptions and misinformed assumptions about immigrants played in the election. and how they will likely continue to influence public opinion and policy for the forseeable future.
