CUUPS Gathering

Monday, November 18 7:00 p.m.

There is no ritual for the month of November. We are now in the time of deepening darkness, encouraging us to go within and dream of the seeds we will plant for the coming year.  We invite you to circle with us this night in the Parish Hall and enjoy a potluck feast in honor of Goddess Hecate.

Holiday Wreath-Making Workshop

Please join us for a fun and creative HOLIDAY WREATH-MAKING WORKSHOP on Saturday, December 7 at 10:00 am in the Parish Hall, led by Juli Gould and Nancy Backus. $30 (cash or check) covers all materials, but if you have hand clippers, wire cutters, or a wreath base, please bring them.

Holiday Craft Fair – Help Wanted!

Saturday, November 16 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We will be hosting a Holiday Craft Fair in the Parish Hall, chaired by Dorine Levasseur and Holly Begley. There will be a selection of home baked goods, soups and sauces, as well as a variety of crafts.  Andrea Priest will, once again, manage a jewelry table, where all the proceeds benefit the church.

Outdoor Cleanup Work Party

Tuesday, October 22 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Many folks may not be aware that the church owns a small parcel of land on the northeast side of the building, toward the far end of the driveway, which was generously purchased and donated by the Benards years ago with the intention of possibly adding on to the church building at some point in the future.

4th Annual Road Rally

Saturday, October 19 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

UU Middleboro is once again hosting a Road Rally on Saturday, October 19. Up to 20 cars can participate, and each car carries a team of two to four people. (Hint: Four is easier than Two!)  Each team follows directions to navigate a slightly tricky course over public roads. The team’s challenge is to use clues to answer questions while safely following all traffic laws along the way.

Hand Crafter Gathering

Do you enjoy hand crafts such as knitting, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint, quilting, etc.?  We are resurrecting our hand crafting group.  We gather once per month to work on our projects, offer support, and also make prayer shawls for folks in the congregation in need of comfort.  Come experts and newbies (we can help teach you) and gather for handwork, snacks, and conversation.

The Building & Grounds Committee Is Looking for Members/Volunteers!

The B&G Committee is responsible for maintaining our church facilities, including managing ongoing maintenance, making needed repairs, and planning and carrying out longer-term improvements, both inside and outside of the Church.  We are looking for individuals interested in helping to identify building issues, figuring out how to address them, and working with volunteers and outside contractors to carry out needed projects.
