Full Moon Meditation on Zoom

This Full Moon falls in the sign of Cancer, the sign most associated with the 

Divine Feminine, the Mother. 

Beginning last month with the festival of Diwali, we have cycled through Hanukkah, Winter Solstice and Christmas, all centering the triumph of light over dark, good over evil. 

Now the Holy Nights are upon us.  In the Christian tradition, these are the twelve days following the birth of Jesus until the arrival of the Magi. However, there is an older, more esoteric meaning to this time…rather than an outward celebration, one that invites an inner journey, one that must be done in solitude.  Just as we honor Samhain as the time when the veil between the worlds is thinnest, the Holy Nights are a time when one might journey to The Threshold and cross over to meet the Divine face to face.  It is a time for prayer, meditation, solitude, contemplation and can be a welcome rest from the time of heightened outward expenditure of energy our modern celebration of the holidays demands.  It is an opportunity to make contact with the indwelling spirit that abides in each of us. Such a communion may help sustain us as we continue to navigate a world that is ever more challenging.  Come join us and explore this lessor known tradition.  All are welcome.
