Indigenous Rights: National Day of Mourning

An annual tradition since 1970, the National Day of Mourning is a solemn, spiritual and highly political day by United American Indians of New England held on the day many in the United States celebrate Thanksgiving. Mythology surrounding Thanksgiving is deeply rooted in settler colonialism, antithetical to Indigenous Justice.
