Transgender Day of Remembrance
November 18 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Central Square Church, UCC, 71 Central Square, Bridgewater.
This is a candlelight vigil to remember and uplift the lives lost due to anti-transgender violence and bigotry. Extra candles will be available for anyone who needs them. Together, we will create a space of reflection, remembrance, and shared experiences.
Everyone is invited to bring stories and memories to deepen our awareness of the ongoing challenges faced by the transgender community, including prejudice, discrimination, and violence.
Free, but if you are able, cisgender, white allies are especially encouraged this year to make a one-time donation to the Transgender Emergency Fund of Massachusetts, which has been providing vital support to low-income and homeless transgender people in Massachusetts since 2008.
