Rules to Be Broken
March 27, 2022 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am
Rev. Sarah Person preaching
March 8 was International Women’s Day. Over decades, studies have indicated that women are perceived to have just as much, if not more, leadership capacity as men. Let’s explore the role that women have historically played in American and First Nation governance. What might be keeping them, as well as others, from assuming those roles in the present day? Special music is provided by Katie Allen and Bet Giddings singing “Remember the Ladies.” The text is based on the correspondence of Abigail Adams (caring for the farm and four children in Braintree) to her husband, John (attending the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia.)
