Years ago, I discovered in family files a great-great-grandfather’s own story delivered from his pulpit on March 15, 1857. It is an unabashed love story and my gift to you today.
Please note:This morning’s service will include a ritual – “Speaking Stones.” Each of us may come forward and place stones in water to represent our sorrows, or fears, or hopes for a better world. If you would like to participate in this ritual, please select a stone and bring it to church with you. Stones will also be provided.
If you are watching virtually and would like to participate in the ritual, please select a stone and be prepared to hold it up to the camera. And, if you would like, please write in the chat a word or phrase of what the stone represents to you.
