Health Imperatives will add medication abortions to its array of reproductive and social services, in Plymouth, Wareham, Brockton, New Bedford, Hyannis and the Islands, starting July 1.

Health Imperatives is a leading provider of sexual and reproductive health care throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, including the Cape and Islands.

“We hold a firm commitment to reproductive rights, with a particular focus on equity, which is why we are proud to begin medical abortion care in July 2023. By providing medication abortion services, we hope to reduce the health disparity experience affecting local residents while ensuring they have access to the resources they need when making informed decisions about their reproductive health.

Our services already include WIC nutrition assistance, support for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, programs for youth, and home visiting and parenting supports for young families.”
