Sunday School Classes: An Amazing Journey, On the Road Again

We are wrapping up our pilgrimage of faith.  We have explored how Unitarian Universalism translates into life choices and everyday action. Our lessons will culminate at the youth service on June 12.  Has your child completed any activity that aligns with our seven principles?  Please be sure to come downstairs in the Parish Hall and add the activity to our path. We have begun to meet on the grass weekly at 9:45 in person.  There is a virtual link that is opened at 10:00 a.m. for any who prefer a virtual meeting.

Craft Club

May 15 at 12:00 p.m. we finished painting our pots and planting our marigolds.  The foster parents loved our gifts and felt very appreciated.  Thank you for participating in the Craft Club this year!  This was part of our Faithful Footprints curriculum; and if it was something the children like, we can talk about how to grow the concept next year.

RE Parent Meeting

We will continue with the RE Parent Meeting in the fall.  Please stay for Coffee Hour on June 12 after Youth Sunday to take some time to celebrate the accomplishments of our youth and get excited for next year.  We will have at least one gathering over the summer to share fun with our children and each other.

Youth Group

Greg Stevens, Kelly Lownds and Barbara Bancroft are currently working with the youth.  The youth will be getting together in June to coordinate our volunteer efforts at Pride Fest.  More information to follow in the Updates.

Coming of Age

Coming of Age will be meeting to practice for youth Sunday on June 11 at 9:30 a.m.  This is a meeting for the children.  Mentors and children and parents are invited to church on June 12 at 10:30 to enjoy the culmination of our Coming of Age program.

Volunteer Efforts

Thank you to everyone who has painted pots and taken marigolds to grow.  I will be reaching out to all RE parents and other helpers who might be willing to volunteer for an hour or two on June 18 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Battistini’s Bakery.  We will be setting up for Pride Fest, helping to man a table at the event, and then helping to break down the event.
