Religious Exploration in April

Classes:  An Amazing Journey, On the Road Again
We are on a pilgrimage of faith, exploring how Unitarian Universalism translates into life choices and everyday action. Has your child completed any activity that aligns with our seven principles?  Please be sure to come downstairs in the Parish Hall and add the activity to our path. We meet weekly on a virtual platform at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Snack and Play:  On April 2, volunteers are welcome to help RE work on crafts on the lawn.  We will be present from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and will offer a peace pinwheel craft, a peace necklace and some coloring pages.

Craft Club:  As part of our RE program, we have started a Craft Club. The Club will be meeting in April on April 10 at 12:00 p.m. and will work on various crafts for both our Faithful Footprints program as well as sharing some international snacks and games.

Field Trip:  We are postponing our field trip from 4/18 to 4/30.  We are hoping to go to Buttonwood Park together with any RE children interested.  More information to follow.

RE Parent Meeting:  We meet the second Sunday each month at 11:45 a.m. virtually. The link goes out via email and will be in the UU Updates each month.  In April the group is meeting on April 10.  We welcome all parents to our group.

Youth Group:  Greg Stevens, Kelly Lownds and Barbara Bancroft are working with the Youth Groups.  Greg and I run the group the second Sunday, and Barbara and I run the group the fourth Sunday.  On the fourth Sunday, we will be having group from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Coming of Age:  We will be having our retreat from April 8 through April 9 in the Parish Hall starting at 6:00 p.m.  We will be together with our mentors that evening for dinner and conversation, and then we will complete some workshops and have some fun.  We are hoping to share a potluck dinner on Friday evening.  We are very excited to share time with our mentors and continue to work on our credos.

Volunteer Efforts:  Thank you to everyone who has painted pots and taken marigolds to grow.  If you are interested in receiving some pots, please email dre@uumiddleboro.org.Kelly Lownds, Director of Religious Exploration
