Rev. Sarah Person preaching Rabbi Edwin Friedman used to advise clergy that, when we encountered another person in the course of our calling, we were talking with not just them, but with the generations before them. It is also true that our bodies retain the genetic and emotional imprints, not only of our own lives, but also the lives of our forebears. It is an important reminder for our relationships with others, and with ourselves.
Just This Sangha meets virtually (via Zoom) nearly every Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 for silent meditation and sharing of our practice experience. From a Buddhist, particularly Zen, perspective, we focus on bringing practice to daily life; exploring letting go of our usual habitual reactivity and opening to our selves and others as we actually are. Not a drop-in group, we do welcome potentially new members to join us for a few sessions to see if the group is a good fit. Contact Tom Tanguay at thisjustthis@gmail.com for more information.

Rev. Sarah Person preaching Today’s sermon is based on a segment of The Moth Radio Hour entitled “Finding My Village” by regular contributor Greg Audel. Click on this link to hear his five-minute story: https://themoth.org/stories/finding-my-village. The music will be provided by former Music Director Jeannie Gagné. Jeannie will be joined by an ensemble from the Chalice Choir singing Freedom Is Coming from the Teal Hymnal.
The Music Committee meets to assist the Music Director in making plans and polices for the music program.
