May Cash in the Plate

The Cash in the Plate for May will be going to the World Central Kitchen, which is resuming their Gaza operations after mourning the recent deaths in Gaza of seven of their members. The organization was founded by Chef José Andrés who has pursued a lifelong mission to fulfill the words of John Steinbeck in The Grapes of Wrath: “Wherever there’s a fight so that hungry people may eat … we’ll be there.” They believe food is a universal human right. They have created a new model for disaster relief, helping devastated communities recover by serving freshly made meals to those affected by the disaster.
