Religious Exploration in January

The program we are sharing this year explores the interdependent web of life.  Our Sunday morning RE program occurs during the church service and has an open enrollment.  We are very excited to have a new outdoor space that we share with the church and are hopeful to grow flowers and plants as we continue to explore nature.  We do nature walks, crafts, tell stories and share ideas about our local environment, animal habitats and native plants.  We consider our role in sustainability.

Religious Exploration in December

We are a growing, caring, loving community of children and adults who are learning about the interdependent web of life this year.  The garden space is growing, and we are grateful to be able to use the land behind the church to continue our exploration of nature.  We will have nature walks every month and explore our local environment, the habitats around us and the animals and plants that are near us.  What is our role in sustainability?  How do we fit in the world?  We will work on answering the questions together this year. Registration is rolling throughout the year and is available here: Religious Exploration Registration Form (google.com)

Religious Exploration in November

We care about the interdependent web of life and taking care of one another.

At UU Middleboro we strive to create a program that allows our children to explore their ideas and faith in a safe and nurturing environment.  We have been going on nature walks, learning in the curriculum about nature, the earth and our role in sustainability as well as looking at ourselves and the world and where we fit.

We care about the interdependent web of life and taking care of one another.  At UU Middleboro we strive to create a program that allows our children to explore their ideas and faith in a safe and nurturing environment.  We draw our curriculum from the Tapestry of Faith on the UUA website for both the children and the youth.  We work hard to allow for the children to enjoy faith, fellowship, food and fun!

Summer Religious Exploration

This year we all worked together, even the adolescents, to “Build Bears of Wholeness.” We built teddy bears together and took them out monthly to add badges representing parts of our learning and our values. The badges included “Grow your Dreams,” “Listen to Life,” “Fostering Community” and “Share Your Blessings.” Everyone received bears, everyone received badges and everyone shared ideas and values about what went into being a whole person.

RE in May

The end of the church school year is coming but don’t let that stop you from enjoying our groups, some volunteer opportunities and getting a chance to build your own bear before we wrap up!  In April we volunteered at the Cooler Middleboro Fair, and in May we will be graduating our OWL class at the end of the month. We have been adding more badges to our bears, including “Grow your Dreams” and “Listen to Life" in RE and in Youth Group.  We try to ensure the children are learning about their faith home and enjoying coming back each week to enjoy food, fun and friends.   We have a nursery each week for young children and infants as well as Religious Exploration class for children.

Religious Exploration in April

A Note from the DREPlease consider joining us for one of our RE classes.  All our children this year are “Building Bears of Wholeness” and collecting badges that support our values.  Our goals for our children are to have time for faith, fellowship, food and fun; and we work hard to provide this!  There are always new bears for newcomers no matter the age or how long they join us.  We have a nursery with two babysitters each week for young children and infants as well as a Religious Exploration class for children.  Enrollment is ongoing and can be completed

Religious Exploration in March

Please consider joining us for one of our RE classes.  We have a nursery with two babysitters each week for young children and infants as well as a Religious Exploration class for children.  We are a small but mighty group and welcome all newcomers.  If your children are older, we have a youth group bi-monthly on Sunday evenings.  All our children this year are “Building Bears of Wholeness” and collecting badges that support our values.  There are always new bears for newcomers no matter the age or how long they join us!

RE in February

RE Children  Build a Bear of Wholeness:  Sunday mornings we head downstairs after the Message for All Ages and learn more about creating a home.  In January we made hearths, and in February we will share the heart of our homes with each other and our families. Nursery During the Worship Service  Niko Pucillo-Dunphy and Jesse Hoyle offer child care during the church service.  Please feel free to bring your infants and toddlers to have fun with Niko and Jesse while you are in the sanctuary participating in the service. Youth Group  Youth Group is tentatively scheduled for February 11 and February 25, 2024.  We will continue with the element of air.  We meet from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall, and we always share dinner.
