We are a growing, caring, loving community of children and adults who are learning about the interdependent web of life this year. The garden space is growing, and we are grateful to be able to use the land behind the church to continue our exploration of nature. We will have nature walks every month and explore our local environment, the habitats around us and the animals and plants that are near us. What is our role in sustainability? How do we fit in the world? We will work on answering the questions together this year. Registration is rolling throughout the year and is available here: Religious Exploration Registration Form (google.com)
We care about the interdependent web of life and taking care of one another.
At UU Middleboro we strive to create a program that allows our children to explore their ideas and faith in a safe and nurturing environment. We have been going on nature walks, learning in the curriculum about nature, the earth and our role in sustainability as well as looking at ourselves and the world and where we fit.

This year we all worked together, even the adolescents, to “Build Bears of Wholeness.” We built teddy bears together and took them out monthly to add badges representing parts of our learning and our values. The badges included “Grow your Dreams,” “Listen to Life,” “Fostering Community” and “Share Your Blessings.” Everyone received bears, everyone received badges and everyone shared ideas and values about what went into being a whole person.
The end of the church school year is coming but don’t let that stop you from enjoying our groups, some volunteer opportunities and getting a chance to build your own bear before we wrap up! In April we volunteered at the Cooler Middleboro Fair, and in May we will be graduating our OWL class at the end of the month. We have been adding more badges to our bears, including “Grow your Dreams” and “Listen to Life" in RE and in Youth Group. We try to ensure the children are learning about their faith home and enjoying coming back each week to enjoy food, fun and friends. We have a nursery each week for young children and infants as well as Religious Exploration class for children.
A Note from the DREPlease consider joining us for one of our RE classes. All our children this year are “Building Bears of Wholeness” and collecting badges that support our values. Our goals for our children are to have time for faith, fellowship, food and fun; and we work hard to provide this! There are always new bears for newcomers no matter the age or how long they join us. We have a nursery with two babysitters each week for young children and infants as well as a Religious Exploration class for children. Enrollment is ongoing and can be completed

In January we made hearths, and in February we will share the heart of our homes with each other and our families. Nursery During the Worship Service Niko Pucillo-Dunphy and Jesse Hoyle offer child care during the church service. Please feel free to bring your infants and toddlers to have fun with Niko and Jesse while you are in the sanctuary participating in the service. Youth Group Youth Group is tentatively scheduled for February 11 and February 25, 2024. We will continue with the element of air. We meet from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall, and we always share dinner.
Build a Bear of Wholeness For our children in RE on Sunday mornings, we will continue to explore our relationship with our faith home. We will consider the joys, the responsibilities and the protections that come from our family home and how they relate and can grow with our faith home. We meet every Sunday morning during the service, and children are welcome to drop in any time to be with our group. Nursery During Church We have Niko Pucillo-Dunphy and Jesse Hoyle offering child care during church. Please feel free to bring your infants and toddlers to have fun with Niko and Jesse while you are in the sanctuary participating in the service.
