The Elsie Gaudette Award

The Elsie Gaudette Award can be given this spring (the third Sunday in June) to a person who exemplifies the service and dedication to this church that Elsie did for many years.

Peter Connolly, Nicole Sykes  Absent:      Lois Aldrich Guests:     Kelly Lownds, Sandy Smiley, Jeff Giddings  Meeting called to order at 6:37 p.m.  Minutes approved from last meeting.  Minister’s Report: Rev. Peter provided the Minister’s Report to the PC. Going to add a section called “Upcoming Events” moving forward. Had an interim minister training today, but nothing additional to his report.  Treasurer:  Bob Waterman reported that our budget is doing okay but a little bit behind in pledges (~$3500) but the budget represents equitable 12 months and isn’t how it typically plays out. To ensure a successful Interim Ministry at FUUSM, we want to share with you our intentions for our Collegial Covenant with each other. A covenant is a promise ministers make to one another that addresses how we will interact with each other and you, the congregation. Basically, we respect each other’s roles and avoid getting in the middle of important communications and relationships between the minister and a congregation member, whether publicly or privately. Virtual Parish Committee Minutes, March 16, 2022

Present:      Bob Waterman, Rev. Sarah Person, Lois Aldrich, Jim Bonnar, Marc MacQueen, Katie Allen, Nicole Sykes Guest:         Kelly Lownds Minister’s Report Rev. Sarah forwarded the Minister’s Report to the PC.   Treasurer’s Report Marc MacQueen reported that income from pledges is about $14,000 less than it should be for this time of year, and expenses appear to be where they should be for this time of year.   Jim Bonnar reminded the PC that the quarterly financial report is due at the end of March, and the budget report to the congregation should occur in April.  The PC needs to make a recommendation to the congregation
