We’ve been watching the trends carefully and have determined that given the current state, we’re prepared to begin opening the sanctuary on Sundays for a limited number of individuals to attend Sunday services. Starting on March 6, we’ll have 12 sections designated for units of up to four individuals (families, couples, friends who are comfortable sitting together). All individuals must be fully vaccinated, wear a mask while in the Church building, sign in upon entry attesting to vaccination status, and stay properly distanced from others. There won’t be any singing by attendees, but humming will be welcome. Once the service is over, we ask all attendees to leave the building, but you’re welcome to visit outside.
If you’re interested in attending, you may register by sending an email to office@uumiddleboro.org or by calling the church at 508-947-1935. Sign-ups will be accepted each week between 3:00 pm on Sunday and midnight on Wednesday for the following Sunday. Only requests received within that window each week will be accepted, and only one person in each unit needs to submit the request for the unit. The 12 unit slots will be filled on a first come first served basis. If you’re successful in securing a slot, you will be notified on Thursday for the following Sunday. If you’re not successful in securing a slot one week, you’ll be given priority the next time you sign up to attend. You must sign up each week that you wish to attend.
These guidelines will remain in place until further notice. We hope in the coming weeks that things will continue to improve and allow us to ease the restrictions and increase the number of units. If you have any questions, please contact uu362@comcast.net.
